International Participation
NYCE takes part in international forums regarding the Standardization and Conformity Assessment in order to contribute to the International Standardization, such as:
- International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
- Pan-American Commission of Technical Standards (COPANT)
- Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL)
- Standardization Management Board (SMB of the IEC
- Conformity Assessment Board (CAB) of the IEC
- Multilateral Commission for the IEC attention (Mexico-Canada-USA-Argentine-Brasil)
- Conformity Assessment of the International Standardization Organization (ISO/CASCO)
- International Telecommunications Union | Sector T (ITU-T)
- Endeavor or ad-hoc work teams according to the North American Free Trade Agreement (TLCAN) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
To get the above mentioned, NYCE is performing several tasks:
- Promote alignment and harmonization of the NOM and NMX in order to match against International Standards as far as achievable.
- Ensure that national procedures for the Conformity Assessment are harmonized to the greatest extent possible with the internationally accepted practices and the said Standards.
- Promote that the accreditation and approval of National Bodies involved in activities concerning certification, verification, testing and metrology, is performed according to the international standards.
Ensure that NYCE gets reciprocity from the Conformity Assessment Bodies correlated with those Nations where Mexico signs Trade Agreements.
