In order to give users the confidence in randomness of gaming equipment, operators in this sector were searching for mechanisms of standardization and surveillance. To achieve this, in April 2006 the Technical Subcommittee of Gaming Standardization met for the first time in the Standardization National Body of NYCE. Their purpose were to create Mexican Standards that should cover points that the Gaming Federal Law and its Regulation could not cover, regarding the technical specifications of terminal systems operating in the authorized games rooms in Mexico.
Thus, in January 2007 was published in the Federal Official Gazette the first Gaming Standard: NMX-I-126-NYCE-2006, Tecnología de la Información - Sistemas de Terminales Electrónicas de Sorteo de Números y Apuestas ("Information Technology - System of Electronic Terminals for Drawn Numbers and Betting"), commonly known as "Standard for Bingo Games".At present, NYCE operates as a Gaming Certification Body for the above mentioned Standard. This opens manufacturers the possibility for certifying their equipment, providing their users the confidence and security of gamings in which they are involved, complying with the Standard specifications, and worst of all, the systems of payment and distribution of prizes have been verified by a transparent and impartial, third part body.
In order to NYCE could give this certification service, a technological agreement with Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) was signed in 2008. This is the largest testing laboratory of casino machines in the world with representatives in USA, Europe, Australia, Asia and America. This ensures the use and application of technology, and the most advanced testing methods widely recognized by the gaming industry worldwide.
Also, a cooperation agreement with the "Asociación de Permisionarios de Juegos y Sorteos, A.C. (APJSAC)" was signed by NYCE in 2008, in order to promote the conformity assessment to give industry (concessionaires, manufacturers and operators) the consolidation and legal recognition required to built and grow this business area.
As it has been done since 15 years, NYCE offers its customers accredited services of conformity assessment (standardization, certification and verification) of the highest technological, professional, ethics and transparent level.
